Tutoring Experience

One of my earliest tutoring experiences was working as a homework tutor when I was a teenager, tutoring three pupils in upper secondary school on a weekly basis.

These tutees always achieved their desired mark or beyond in the modules or assignments that I helped them with. In accordance with my tutoring style in which I aim to strengthen self-confidence and autonomy, all my tutees quickly became more self-sufficient, their need for tutoring either ceasing completely or becoming limited to isolated tasks.

At university, I have additional tutoring and teaching experience, first, from my position as Workshop Lead in a university society where I created and delivered mental health workshops in secondary schools. I also held training sessions for prospective volunteers. Lastly, I have volunteered as a university admissions mentor with an organization which provides mentoring to prospective university applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Tutoring Approach

For university admissions, we can go through all from your choice of universities to apply for, to the specific requirements and admissions process for each university choice. We will integrate all tasks to be completed into a realistic timeline, and then we go through everything – references, personal statement, potential interviews and admissions tests – in turn and in good time.

For university law modules, we either work with a specific assignment or longer-term revision goal that you may have, or we work more generally with improving your study technique in approaching some or all of your law subjects and exams. We can also choose to focus more on, for example, essay questions or problem questions depending on your needs and wishes.
