Tutoring Experience

My teaching experience spans IB MYP and Diploma students, alongside undergraduate mentoring at the University of Groningen. I have tutored MYP Extended Mathematics for over three years and DP Economics and Mathematics AA for two. As an Academic Mentor and Lead Learning Assistant, I have also led peer coaches and coordinated teaching teams. These roles have taught me to explain my reasoning carefully and adjust the pace when a student needs more time.

Tutoring Approach

Understanding a topic and answering an IB question are separate skills, so I give both attention. We work through the reasoning behind a method before applying it to exam questions. I explain each step and leave room for questions, rather than expecting you to follow a finished solution. Lessons reflect your current work and target grade. If a particular explanation is not helping, I change the example or break the problem into smaller parts.
