Tutoring Experience

I have many years of experience in mentoring students in secondary school, from year 7 up to year 11. I have an extensive track record helping students at all ranges of abilities. I believe that learning should be about understanding, not memorization, and prioritize creating a safe, fun learning environment in which my students feel comfortable and happy to ask questions as they need to.

I work at my students' pace, explaining content in a way that relates to their interests. When students understand a topic, regardless of whether they enjoy it, they are able to significantly cut down on revision time. As a student myself, I use my own experiences and hand-made resources, as well as revision tips that I have personally used, to promote the best exam and learning technique.

I am incredibly passionate about helping students realize their full potential as stress-free as possible. My only priority is my students' comfort; I will strive to help them feel more at ease with the content they need help with.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons typically consist of starting with the student explaining their knowledge of a topic to me, so I can assess their current abilities.

Then, with the guidance of the specification for their exam board, I proceed to use a whiteboard and many questions to enhance their knowledge, taking it as slow (or fast) as they require.

Finally, lessons will finish with a few practice questions to consolidate learning, with homework assigned at the end if students desire.
