I’m a qualified teacher specialising in GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level Economics and Business Studies within the Cambridge and Edexcel exam boards. I teach students online helping them understand major topics like market structures, supply and demand, business finance and exam technique. My lessons are focused on the syllabus and past paper practice, and many of the students I’ve supported have gone on to achieve Grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A-Level and IGCSE.

Tutoring Experience

I hold a BCom degree and a PGCE and am a qualified teacher. I previously taught Economics and Business Studies in a secondary school before moving fully into online teaching 3 years ago. Since then I’ve worked with students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level exams across different exam boards. My work included supporting students with revision, coursework prep and exam practice, particularly for topics students often struggle with such as elasticity, market failure and finance.

Tutoring Approach

I usually start by understanding where the student is with the topic and how confident they feel with the syllabus. From there we work through concepts, using diagrams, examples and exam questions to make the ideas clearer. Economics and Business are subjects where exam technique matters a lot, so we practise how to structure answers and analyse case studies. I aim to keep lessons calm and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult topics.
