I pursued my undergraduate studies in History at the University of Cambridge, specializing in religious history. My academic journey spanned a broad spectrum of topics, from the European Reformation to the Protestant missions of the 20th century. Following this, I furthered my education with a Master's degree in Political Thought and Intellectual History, deepening my understanding of the intricate relationship between historical narratives and political ideologies. With over five years of tutoring experience, I am well-equipped to guide students toward academic success, helping them secure the grades they aspire to achieve.

Tutoring Experience

I've been tutoring A-Levels for 5 years and have helped students with History and Politics achieved aimed grades.

I’ve also been tutoring Oxbridge prep for aspiring applicants for over 3 years. I have covered everything from personal statement to interviews, with a particular specialty in admissions tests (HAA and HAT). I have conducted mock interviews with over 50 students and helped numerous talented pupils to secure their offers at Oxford or Cambridge.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is heavily focused on fostering the independent analytical skills that schools often fail to impart successfully to their students and which are essential to the Oxbridge application.

A great deal of other teaching and tutoring boils down to vague platitudes about “insight” - I concentrate on in - depth, targeted and focused critique of an individual student’s writing and thinking style. It is in this manner that rapid and long - lasting improvements can be made to a student’s academic capabilities.
