Qualified Online Tutor | BEng Civil Engineering

I tutor GCSE and IGCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry, with four years of tutoring experience and a BEng in Civil Engineering. I achieved grade 9s in every GCSE subject. Engineering gives me practical examples to draw on in Maths lessons, while my teaching focuses on clear explanations, problem-solving and targeted feedback that tells you what to change in your next attempt.

Tutoring Experience

I've taught Maths, Biology and Chemistry at both GCSE and IGCSE, with four years of tutoring experience. I tailor lessons around individual needs and review students' responses as they work. I've supported different abilities, adapting explanations and giving specific feedback on answers. My teaching involves listening to what students find difficult, reviewing their understanding and adjusting the lesson so we spend time on the areas that need attention, with support between sessions.

Tutoring Approach

If an explanation isn't helping, we can try a diagram, a practical example or a question together. I use these in different combinations depending on the topic and your response. In Maths, I draw on engineering examples to show what a calculation represents. You'll work through problems during the lesson, with feedback on your method and answer. We make time for the basics when they're holding you back, and I offer support between sessions if something from the lesson is still unclear.
