Tutoring Experience

I studied Psychology at university and have always been fascinated by how young learners think, manage pressure and build confidence. After graduating, I spent two years working directly with admissions teams, interviewing prospective pupils and reviewing application materials. This role helped me develop a deep understanding of cognitive ability testing, interview expectations, and the early indicators of academic potential. When I transitioned to tutoring, I brought all of this insight with me.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is warm, practical and highly strategic. I focus on building strong core skills in verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and English, but I also teach children how to think under pressure, stay organised and manage exam-day nerves. Rather than simply working through worksheets, I use interactive activities, short challenges and reflective discussions to build confidence and independence. Every child is different, so I adapt my lessons to suit their personality and learning style.
