Tutoring Experience

I’ve prepared students for all major reasoning formats, from CAT4’s four cognitive batteries to the adaptive questions found in the ISEB Pre-Test. My work includes supporting children through 11+ preparation for grammar and independent school entry, guiding them in maths, English, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. Many of the pupils I’ve worked with have achieved high reasoning scores and moved on to schools such as Alleyn’s, Bancroft’s, and Reigate Grammar. I have experience supporting both UK-based learners and international students adjusting to British testing expectations.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is calm, methodical and centred around skill-building. For CAT4, I focus on developing the cognitive habits that make pattern recognition and logical thinking feel natural. For the 11+ and ISEB Pre-Test, I blend curriculum knowledge with strategic practice, timed challenges, and detailed feedback. I make sure students understand the thinking pattern behind each question type and feel confident tackling unfamiliar problems. Above all, my aim is to help each child develop steady confidence and the ability to reason clearly under pressure.
