Tutoring Experience

I have taught GCSE/IGCSE Maths and Further Maths through one-to-one tuition and A-Level Maths and Economics in classroom groups of 20+ students. My work includes creating teaching materials, diagnosing weak areas and using past papers to improve exam technique. I also support GCSE/IGCSE Economics and TMUA preparation, focusing on quantitative reasoning, unfamiliar problems and timed practice. Many of my students have improved from B/C grades to A*/A.

Tutoring Approach

I use diagnostic questions and past papers early so we can see exactly where marks are being lost. In Maths and Further Maths, lessons focus on method choice, accuracy and multi-step reasoning; Economics sessions develop application, chains of analysis and evaluation. For TMUA, I use unfamiliar problems and timed sets to strengthen mathematical reasoning. I review recurring errors and shape later lessons around them until the student can apply the method independently in exams.
