Tutoring Experience

I have taught IB ESS at SL and HL in an international school setting, alongside three years of middle-school Science across IGCSE and KS3. My wider teaching covers Biology-focused Combined Science and one-to-one tutoring across different systems. I use case studies, data analysis, targeted review and mock exam-style questions to strengthen subject knowledge, written responses and assessment technique, adapting explanations for students learning through English as an additional language.

Tutoring Approach

I build lessons around the student’s specific gaps rather than following a fixed sequence. In ESS, I use case studies, data and real environmental issues to develop application, evaluation and source analysis. Biology lessons combine diagrams, terminology and exam-style questions, while MYP and Combined Science use practical examples to connect concepts. I review mistakes closely, vary question types and use targeted exam practice until students can explain and apply the idea independently.
