Tutoring Experience

I’ve taught over 40 students in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level. My GCSE students have achieved grade 7 or above, with most reaching at least a 8 and improvements of up to five grades. I’ve also helped A-Level students raise their grades to A*. My experience covers rebuilding core knowledge, tackling hard problems and refining exam technique. I use targeted practice and detailed feedback to help students turn their understanding into marks on the exam paper.

Tutoring Approach

An initial assessment tells me which gaps are holding you back, so we can address them straight away. I explain each topic in enough depth for you to understand where the methods come from, then choose questions that make you think about how to use them. We revisit earlier topics regularly to check what has stuck and what needs another look. As your understanding develops, I increase the difficulty of the questions and give specific feedback on your reasoning, calculations and answers.
