Tutoring Experience

I have over six years of experience teaching Biology at A-Level and GCSE, focusing on major exam boards such as AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. My lessons are structured around breaking down complex biological processes like photosynthesis and genetics into manageable, logical steps, ensuring students grasp the fundamentals before progressing to advanced topics. I’ve supported students aiming for top grades and university entry, particularly for Biology-based courses.

My experience spans working with students across various ability levels, from those needing foundational support in core topics to high-achieving students preparing for Oxbridge applications. Tutoring Approach

My approach focuses on creating a personalised plan for each student, beginning with a detailed assessment of their current understanding of A-Level Biology. I target specific areas such as molecular biology, human physiology, or ecological systems, tailoring lessons to the student’s strengths and weaknesses. Sessions involve a mix of discussion, interactive problem-solving, and exam-style practice questions.

To reinforce learning, I assign focused homework on key topics, track progress systematically, and revisit challenging areas in subsequent lessons. Using tools like interactive whiteboards, I make biological processes visually engaging and accessible. By encouraging active participation and fostering curiosity, I aim to ensure students not only master the curriculum but also enjoy learning Biology.
