Oxford University - BA Law, Jurisprudence

I am an enthusiastic tutor with a passion for learning. As an Oxford Law Graduate, I specialise in helping students with Law Admissions to Oxford and other UK universities as well as the LNAT test, Personal Statements and General Admissions Guidance. A main worry for students, leading up to exams is answering the question of 'what do the examiners value?', through my experience, consistent learning with the right teachers and formula can allow you to attain the higher grade.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a tutor for the past two years and have helped students with passing the LNAT and Oxbridge admissions. I volunteered at Park High School, helping students with their personal statements. Most recently, I have been tutoring at Blue Education where I am currently helping a student with his LNAT exam and Oxbridge admission.

Tutoring Approach

LNAT/Oxbridge Admissions

The most important aspect of tutoring for the LNAT and Oxbridge admissions is ensuring the student learns to communicate their understanding to me because this is fundamental for interviewing at these top universities. Specifically, for the LNAT exam, ensuring the student is well-versed in current affairs and can write a good, structured essay, is the main focus of my sessions.

KS3/GCSE French

When tutoring French, the most important aspect is speaking practice and as I am fluent both in writing and speaking, as I will be able switch between the languages with ease and ensure the student becomes used to hearing French, as this is the key to securing higher grades with modern languages. At Park High School, I was able to help students with basic tasks such as crosswords as well as their, more rigorous, writing tasks. At GCSE level, practice is key to securing a good grade in the examination and the best technique for this is ensuring the student becomes used to listening and reading French which can be conducted easily during sessions as I can mimic the fluency found in the exam. At the point that this listening and reading exercise becomes second nature, the GCSE examination will not be difficult.
