I'm a Cambridge maths graduate who tutors maths at every level, from GCSE and IGCSE through to A-Level Maths and Further Maths. I also teach IB Maths across AA and AI at both SL and HL, and I prepare students for the STEP and TMUA university admissions papers. Tutoring Experience

I've tutored A-Level Maths since 2021 to both UK and international students. A lot of my work is helping them catch up after missed classes or get on top of the topics they find hardest, and at other times taking students ahead of their school syllabus when they're ready. With some students we've gone from barely starting a question to handling the hardest parts of a paper. Since 2021 I've also coached students through the STEP and TMUA admissions papers, prepping them separately from their regular A-Level work.

Tutoring Approach

I plan every session in advance and tailor it to what the student is into, which tends to make the maths stick. I'd rather get students to justify their answers and think a problem through than memorise rules, though I'll flag the bits worth learning by heart. If someone's stuck, I break the problem down, point them to simpler examples, and reframe it until it makes sense. I run sessions on slides with handwritten working, share everything afterwards, and usually set a bit of homework. Most sessions run an hour or two.
