Tutoring Experience

Across several years of tutoring, I have taught A-Level Biology and Chemistry and GCSE/IGCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students at a wide range of starting points. My experience runs from repairing gaps in core science to stretching students towards Grade 9 outcomes. I regularly teach practical concepts, calculations and extended-response questions, using past papers and detailed feedback to improve accuracy, scientific vocabulary and the way students apply knowledge in exams.

Tutoring Approach

No two students get exactly the same lesson. I might use a diagram to untangle an A-Level Biology process, work through a Chemistry calculation line by line, or turn a GCSE/IGCSE Physics misconception into a short set of targeted questions. Once the idea is secure, we move quickly into exam-style practice. I ask students to explain their reasoning, review mistakes closely and revisit weak areas until they can handle similar questions independently and with better exam judgement under pressure.
