I am an Oxford Philosophy and Theology graduate offering TARA tuition and admissions interview preparation. My students have secured places at Oxford and UCL. I hold an MA in Anthropology and work as a social researcher specialising in children and young adults. Tutoring Experience

I’ve prepared A-Level students for the TARA, including applicants who went on to receive interview invitations. My wider private tutoring experience spans maths, languages and history, so I’m used to helping students tackle both numerical problems and written arguments. Working with children through a charity taught me how to establish trust with young people from different backgrounds. As a social researcher, I also explain complex ideas to different audiences, a skill I bring into my teaching.

Tutoring Approach

I want to hear how you reached an answer, including the parts you weren’t sure about. That gives us a practical starting point for TARA preparation: we can untangle the reasoning and identify where an explanation or method needs more work. For interviews, the focus is on discussing ideas clearly and responding thoughtfully to questions. I adjust the pace and level of detail to suit the student, drawing on my research work with young people to keep sessions patient, focused and open to questions.
