Tutoring Experience

I have spent 12 years tutoring GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry, alongside undergraduate science and university admissions preparation and interviews. My students have achieved grade 9s at IGCSE and secured places at Oxford and Cambridge. I also prepare students for ESAT and other science entrance assessments, working on unfamiliar problems and scientific reasoning. My experience includes full-syllabus teaching, intensive exam revision and long-term academic mentoring.

Tutoring Approach

For GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry, I explain difficult ideas carefully before using syllabus-focused questions to develop accurate scientific answers, analyse mark schemes and improve exam technique. ESAT preparation is more problem-led, using unfamiliar material to strengthen reasoning, speed and scientific judgement. Away from exams, I can explore topics in greater depth. I also advise students on revision, study habits and independent learning, with targeted homework.
