I’m Jay, a Cambridge mathematics graduate and incoming master’s student, specialising in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and the toughest entrance papers—TMUA, MAT, STEP and ESAT. With STEP grades 1,1 and a MAT score of 77/100, I teach exam-craft as well as theory, guiding students to A*s and top-tier offers. Tutoring Experience

Over the past five years I’ve taught individuals and small cohorts online and in person, tailoring sessions for sixth-formers aiming at Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, UCL or KCL. My students practise past and unseen questions in timed conditions, learn efficient proof writing and receive detailed feedback sheets after every lesson. Last cycle three tutees secured mathematics offers from Cambridge; many more achieved A*-A grades and top percentiles in TMUA, MAT, STEP and ESAT. I also mentor classroom teachers on advanced problem-setting techniques.

Tutoring Approach

My sessions are highly interactive: we co-write solutions on a shared whiteboard that remains accessible for revision. I begin with diagnostic questions, then build skills through graduated problems, emphasising elegant methods, examiner expectations and time management. Frequent mini-reviews and a bespoke bank of Oxbridge interview prompts ensure mastery and confidence.
