Tutoring Experience

I have over six years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level Physics and Mathematics, helping students build a strong foundation in these subjects and achieve excellent exam results. My expertise extends to preparing students for competitive university admissions, particularly for Oxford Physics, Cambridge Natural Sciences, and Oxbridge Engineering, with a 100% success rate. I offer specialized tutoring for university admissions assessments like the ESAT and NSAA, providing in-depth support to navigate these challenging exams. Additionally, I conduct mock interviews for Physics and Engineering applicants, focusing on developing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to help students excel.

Tutoring Approach

I begin with an initial session focused on assessing the student’s current understanding of Maths and Physics. During this time, I guide them through questions to observe their thought processes and problem-solving strategies, discussing how they would approach each problem and how they’re performing in school. This helps identify any areas they might be struggling with and provides a clear baseline for us to build on. I start with easier interview questions, encouraging students to verbalize their thoughts and reasoning out loud. This helps them build confidence in expressing their ideas, which is crucial for university admissions interviews.

Throughout our sessions, I prioritize constant interaction, frequently asking questions to engage the student in a meaningful discussion about each topic. I set homework assignments to reinforce what we’ve covered, helping them practice independently and gain confidence in applying what they’ve learned. I also share helpful YouTube videos for additional reinforcement, as these can provide valuable insights and alternate explanations that enhance understanding.
