The Test of Academic Reasoning for Admissions (TARA) is a computer-based admissions test used by UCL and the University of Oxford for certain undergraduate courses. It assesses skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and argument analysis rather than subject knowledge. The test has three 40-minute modules: Critical Thinking, Problem Solving (multiple-choice), and a Writing Task where candidates write a short essay response.
