The IB Chemistry SL course explores the fundamental principles of chemistry, covering topics such as atomic structure, bonding, energetics, kinetics, equilibrium, and organic chemistry. With exams in May and November, the program is designed to develop students’ understanding of chemical concepts alongside their analytical and practical laboratory skills. Through a balance of theoretical learning and experimental investigation, it prepares students for further study in chemistry, environmental science, medicine, or other science-related fields.
