Tutoring Experience

My own university applications led to offers from Oxford, Imperial, Bath and Warwick. I draw on that experience while supporting engineering applicants, alongside A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics tuition, ESAT preparation and Oxbridge Engineering and Physics interview practice. I’ve tutored GCSE Physics and taught Maths and Science to pupils of different ages as well. Explaining ideas to both younger children and teenagers has meant adapting the language and level of detail I use.

Tutoring Approach

I start by asking which topics or parts of the application need attention. For A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and the ESAT, we work through questions in clear steps, stopping to unpack any unfamiliar concepts. In mock interviews, I use past questions and then review how the student approached them. Personal statements receive detailed, annotated feedback. I review work between stages so the next session addresses the parts that still need practice, rather than repeating the familiar material.
